Background
- James Resneck, MD, is a fully trained laser vision correction surgeon and ophthalmologist. Dr. Resneck has been practicing ophthalmology with Kaiser Permanente for over eighteen years. In addition to his extensive clinical experience, he has conducted and participated in various research projects, including a national study on the Diabetic Retinopathy Photographic Evaluation Research Project. He has also authored and co-authored several articles, which have been published in various popular ophthalmic journals, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and Emergency Medicine.
- Dr. Resneck has been involved in the leadership of numerous professional organizations including having served as the Chief of Ophthalmology of Fremont Medical Center, as the Chairman of the Chiefs of Ophthalmology of Kaiser Permanente, and as the Chairman of the Vision Services Re-engineering Work Group. Dr. Resneck is also currently involved with medical informatics and is a member of the Convergent Medical Terminology workgroup.
- Dr. Resneck is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
